CLASSIC LAMB ROAST

INGREDIENTS:

- A good quality leg of lamb (+-2kg)

-Rosemary

- garlic cloves

- a splash of red wine

-a splash of vinegar of your choice

- salt

-olive oil.

METHOD:

Preheat the oven to 220C

Use a knife to stab the leg in a few places making big enough holes for you to stuff them with the garlic cloves.

Stuff the holes with the garlic.

cover the lamb with the remaining ingredients.

Lower the oven temp to 180C then roast for 1 hour and 10- 20 minutes.

Rest the lamb for 20 minutes before carving.

You can use the juices in the pan to make gravy, spoon a bit over your plate as is or use it to add more flavour to other dishes later in the week.

You can roast potatoes or any other veg you like with the lamb, and it will be coated in all these delicious flavours.

Eat this lamb with your favourite salad roast veg or any side dish of your liking. Use leftovers in wraps, sandwiches, pastas or anything else you desire.

CHANGE IT UP!

Use spices and/or different herbs such as mint.

This recipe is so simple there is hardly much you would want to change at all!

Just eat it with different things/ in different ways.
